The AAA Development team is looking for Senior Software Engineer position in Bangkok. The key responsibility is to analyze requirement, design software, develop software, review source code, generate unit test case and run unit testing. The task usually covering to be coaching Junior Software Engineer, lead meeting, support team’s problem and question and give technical solution for the problem to the team as well. The position is for C#.NET and database expert in AAA CPAC – Reference Data Catalogue project. Reference Data Catalogue is the component which interacts with many Thomson Reuters systems to be the secondary storage of data, provide interfaces for the other components to get use the data and calculate user permission data to the Thomson Reuters Central Permissioning system based on user order in CRM as well.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze requirement from Product Manager
- Design and Develop Software based on the requirement
- Review source code and coaching Junior Software Engineer
- Generate Unit Test specification, running Unit Test cases and generate Unit Test Report
- Lead meeting, conduct teleconference meeting and contract both external and internal team to get the agreement/solution on problem/design
- Giving technical solution and being technical consultant for the team
- Provide the leadership to the team in solving immediate software problems which deal with Quality Assurant and Support Consultant teams.
Key Functions:
- Attend and lead meeting with Product Manager and Architect teams time by time to discuss about software requirement and software change request.
- Attend and lead meeting with internal team to discuss on the software design, development technique, development process and project time line.
- Attend and lead meeting with external team for co-operate work on interface design which interact to each others
- Expand product and technical knowledge to the team and coaching Junior Software Engineer
- Sharing technical technique and giving technical solution to the team
- Review the quality of development software to meet both software requirement and best software technique though out the development cycle which are design, implementation, process and testing
- Communicate widely with many teams – both internal and external teams by e-mail, Reuter Messaging, set-up a meeting or conduct a teleconference
- Manage day-to-day issues that come from internal team, test team and support teams
- Manage day-to-day issues that come from both internal product and external product teams which integrate to the responsible software
- Monitor day-to-day defect tracing issue raised
- Work with peers in Development, QA and Operation in attempt to improve the overall quality of product in responsibility during each project.
- Build up and maintain networking with Product Manager, Project Manager, Architect, other development teams, test team, support team and external teams
- Manage changes due to unexpected events and re-shuffling of priorities as it is a nature of support work and also manage staff throughout the change and transition.
- Manage to raise a support request and work close with OPM and ISM, vendors who support AAA e.g. Microsoft, IBM, Sun, McAfee to ensure the quality of service reach to the expected requirement to 3rd level support team
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related fields
- At least 3 years hands-on experience in a related technical role or technical support work and posses the following key technical knowledge and skills :-
- Strong knowledge of .NET 2.0 software development and related tools e.g. C# and Web Service, Windows Service and XML-based server sided applications
- IIS, XML, XSLT and develop software based on the agreed WSDL
- Strong knowledge of MS SQL Server 2005 in TSQL, XML, XQuery and/or hierarchical database programming
- MS SQL Server 2005 peer-to-peer and transactional replications and database administration would be advantages
- Excellent knowledge in Windows Platform is a must.
- Any technology experience of SPT, Tivoli, TPM, GMI, VM will be an advantage
