Our Support Consultant provides technical root cause analysis at the source code level with the understanding of business needs of our customers. He/she works closely with the local development team, software quality assurance team, product managers in Bangkok as well as those outside Thailand. Collaboration with the regional support engineer team is also required as part of the day-to-day work to resolve the support issues.

Required Skills

At least 2 years hands-on experience in a related technical role or technical support work and posses. Knowledge and skills in these key technical areas:-
Java / C#
Networking / MS SQL
Excellent command in written and spoken English
Good analytical, communication, and negotiation skills
Ability to perform multitask, prioritize and work effectively under time constraints
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related fields

3000Xtra/Eikon are strategic desktop products of Thomson Reuters that provide real-time, news, historical and analytic financial information to help financial professional in making decision and doing transaction base on Windows platform. Currently, there are more than 100,000 users in US, Europe and Asia using product.

Successful candidate will join 3000Xtra/Eikon desktop development team base in Bangkok that have to collaborate with development team in Paris/Moldova to deliver result. He/she will be involved in all development activities (design, coding, code reviews, unit test, release and debugging) to develop and maintain various desktop products base on 3000Xtra/Eikon framework.

Responsibility

Coding follow defined requirement specification
Code review
Unit Testing
Integration Testing
Debugging (Bug fixing)
Performance/Resource Consumption (CPU, Memory and etc.) optimization
Documentation (design, specification, new feature description)
Interact with other team (Development, Quality Assurance and etc.) to deliver result effectively

Qualifications

A minimum of 3 year experience as a Software Engineer
Very Good knowledge in Java programming
Good knowledge in Unix Administration like Solaris 10, Linux.
Familiar with C# programming for Web application with web technology including CSS, Java Script, AJAX
Familiar with database programming and basic administration for clustering and replication.
Good command of English
Ability to work as a team, flexible, proactive, well organized and focus on objectives
Eager to work in a multicultural environment
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related fields
Thai National or must be legally able to work in Thailand without the Company having to obtain a work permit.

This position is a member of development team focuses on implementing Web View for Thomson Reuters premium clients. We work in an onshore / offshore organization distributed among UK, US and Bangkok. Further, the development team works closely with the QA and business teams located in Bangkok and the project management teams located in New York.

Responsibility

Reporting to the Development Manager, the successful candidate will be required to develop, maintain, and support the system on Windows platform. Development activities include analysing requirements, design, coding and unit testing. The candidate is also responsible for coordinating and collaborating with members from quality assurance, project and product management.

Qualifications

Bachelor Degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or any related fields.

Knowledge of .NET, C# or Java, ASP.NET, and Web Services development (XML, WSDL, etc.)

Possess drive, initiative and strong problem solving and analytical skills
